在Ubuntu桌面上，你可以使用globalmenu將每一個桌面視窗的選單工具列整合到Ubuntu桌面上方的面板上，看起來非常簡潔。而到了Ubuntu 11.04更將globalmenu列入預設的工具程式。但在Ubuntu 11.04上的globalmenu還是留有一個遺憾，就是如法將他預設的瀏覽器Firefox 4的選單工具列將它整合起來。但這整狀況或許會改觀了，因為已經有程式可以將Firefox 4的選單工具列整合到Ubuntu 11.04上方的面板上，而這個工具程式目前尚在開發中，目前僅限於給Ubunru 11.04和Firefox 4 Beta 9可使用，所以開啟終端機程式將下列輸入(注意Ubuntu 10.10和先前版本不適用)，就會將Firefox 4升級到Beta 9並將相關工具程式來安裝起來。

安裝完成後，打開Firefox就可以看到Firefox已經升級到Firefox 4 Beta 9和其選單工具列以整合到Ubuntu 11.04桌面上方的面板上。
